In Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg, Alyssa Thomas was born on April 12, 1992. She shown a strong passion for athletics from an early age, excelling in both basketball and soccer. But it soon became apparent that basketball was her actual passion as time went on. In high school, she developed her abilities and attracted the attention of college scouts while receiving multiple awards.

To play for the women’s basketball team of the Terrapins, Thomas made the decision to enroll at the University of Maryland. She was one of the most accomplished basketball players in school history during her four years at Maryland, where she had a surprising amount of success. She was selected for many All-American teams and won multiple ACC Player of the Year titles as a result of Thomas’ exceptional achievements, which also brought her a host of other individual accolades.
