American basketball player Alyssa Thomas plays for the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association). She represented the Maryland Terrapins in college basketball.

She was selected fourth overall in the 2014 WNBA draft and was then moved to the Sun in exchange for Tina Charles, Kelsey Bone, and a first-round draft pick in 2015.
She is also one of only three athletes in NCAAW history to have six career triple-doubles, and she leads both the women’s and men’s programs at the University of Maryland in scoring, rebounding, and double-doubles. In her rookie year, she was named the 2011 ACC Rookie of the Year and was chosen for the All-ACC Second Team.
