Ally Brooke, raised by her parents Jerry Hernandez and Patricia Castillo, experienced a challenging start to life as a 14-week premature baby, weighing only one pound and fourteen ounces. Growing up, she attended Cornerstone Christian Elementary School and completed her high school education through home-schooling. Despite her Mexican descent, Ally did not grow up speaking Spanish, a decision made by her parents to shield her from potential discrimination in school.

Ally’s journey to stardom kicked off when she auditioned for The X Factor in Austin, Texas, singing “On My Knees” by Jaci Velasquez. Although initially eliminated during the boot camp round, destiny had other plans. Ally, along with Dinah Jane, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Camila Cabello, was brought back to form the iconic girl group Fifth Harmony. The group achieved significant success, finishing in third place on The X Factor and signing with Syco Music and Epic Records.
Fifth Harmony released hit albums like “Reflection” and “7/27,” contributing to their status as one of the most successful girl groups. However, in March 2018, the group announced an indefinite hiatus to pursue solo projects.
