Ali Riley is an American born New Zealand professional soccer player. Riley was born in Los Angeles, California to John Graham Riley and Beverly Fong Lowe.

Her dad is from Christchurch and moved to America in his late 20s. Due to that, she had New Zealand citizenship since she was a baby.
She went to St. Matthew’s Parish School in Pacific Palisades and Harvard-Westlake School in North Hollywood. She was nominated to the All-CIF Southern Section Division I first team as a senior after helping lead the Wolverines to the 2006 Southern Section Division I final.

Riley started her professional career in 2008 with FC Gold Pride in the United States. She then went on to play for clubs in Sweden, Norway, and Germany, including Malmo FF, Bayern Munich and Loan to FC Rosengård.
On the international stage, Ali Riley is a key player for the New Zealand women’s national team, often serving as the team’s captain. She has represented New Zealand in multiple FIFA Women’s World Cup and Olympic Games tournaments.
She currently plays as a defender for Angel City of the American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) where she is also a captain.
