Alfred Goodwin was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and also a district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.
Goodwin was nominated to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Oregon by President Richard Nixon on September 22, 1969, to a seat vacated by Judge John Kilkenny.
At the time of his death, Goodwin was the oldest federal judge still hearing cases and the longest-serving current federal judge.
