Alexander Rossi Parents: Meet Peter Rossi, Dawn Rossi

Alexander Rossi is an American racing driver known for his accomplishments in various motorsport disciplines. He is the son of Peter Rossi and Dawn Rossi.

Pieter Rossi, his father, began his career as a building and landscaping contractor in the Sierra Nevada. He later sold his company to his partner in order to devote his full attention to Alexander’s career.

Pieter became a professional agent in 2002 and has mentored his son throughout his career.  To realise Alex’s Formula One dream, his parents essentially created their own business model by establishing a support structure of investors to help foot the bill for Alexander Rossi’s rise in European racing.

Rossi returned to the United States after a brief F1 career. Alexander Rossi currently drives the No. 7 Chevrolet for Arrow McLaren in the IndyCar Series full-time. Rossi is best known for his rookie victory in the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2016. He used to race for Andretti Autosport.

Pieter Rossi formed another company (One Motorsports Marketing and Management, or 1MMM) with Alex to groom drivers in junior formulas for long-term career planning, while still managing his son’s career through Team Rossi Motorsports.
