Alex Vesia is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He is the son of Bob and Cindy Vesia. His mother Cindy is a composite tool maker for General Atomics and his father Bob owns a machine shop company.
Alex Vesia attended Steele Canyon High School in Spring Valley, California, and played baseball there. He was named All-East County as a senior in 2014
He signed with Miami and debuted with the Gulf Coast League Marlins before being promoted to the Batavia Muckdogs.

Vesia was named to the Miami Marlins’ 2020 Opening Day roster on July 22, 2020. On July 25, he made his Major League Baseball debut against the Philadelphia Phillies.
He earned his first MLB victory on July 31, 2021, against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Vesia collected his first MLB save against the Colorado Rockies on September 21, 2021.
Alex Vesia spent the entirety of the 2021 season in the major leagues with the Dodgers, pitching forty innings over 41 games with a 3-1 record, 3.86 ERA, and 54 strikeouts.
When he wasn’t with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he pitched nine innings for the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Vesia pitched in 63 games in 2022, going 5-0 with a 2.15 ERA.
