Alex Killorn Parents: Meet Matt Killorn, Cindy Killorn

Alex Killorn is a Canadian left winger with the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL).  He is the son of Matt Killorn and Cindy Killorn.

Alex’s mother, Cindy, is a former teacher who taught sociology part-time at LaSalle College in Montreal.his older sister, Katie, attended medical school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

His other sister Racher studied business and worked as an accountant for a firm in Montreal; and both of Alex’s sisters are happily married.

Alex Killorn was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round, 77th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry raft during the summer before his senior year at Deerfield.

He then went on to play collegiate hockey for Harvard University in the NCAA Men’s Division I ECAC Hockey conference.  Killorn signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on May 19, 2012, after finishing his playing career with the Harvard Crimson men’s ice hockey team.

He won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Killorn played his 800th NHL game on April 1, 2023, in a 5-0 victory over the New York Islanders. Killorn played in all 82 games again in 2022-23, setting career highs in goals (27), assists (37) and points (64).
