While the left winger is known for his speed and skill on the ice, questions about his personal life often arise, including whether he has children.
As of the latest information available, Alex Formenton does not have any children. The talented athlete, born on September 13, 1999, has been channeling his energy and dedication into his professional hockey career.
Formenton’s journey in hockey began when he was drafted by the major junior London Knights in the 2015 Ontario Hockey League Priority Draft, marking the initial step toward his professional career. In 2016, he officially joined the Knights and made a significant impact with 16 goals and 34 points in 65 games.

His outstanding performance caught the attention of the Ottawa Senators, who selected him in the second round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, securing his position in the professional league.
After the completion of the 2021–22 season, contractual negotiations between Formenton and the Senators hit an impasse. Unable to reach an agreement, he found himself without a contract, rendering him ineligible to participate in the 2022–23 NHL season.
Despite this setback, Formenton didn’t remain on the sidelines for long. On December 14, 2022, he signed with Swiss club HC Ambrì-Piotta in the National League (NL), marking a new chapter in his hockey career.
As Formenton focuses on his professional endeavors, the question of whether he has children remains a negative as of now. The hockey prodigy continues to dazzle fans with his performances on the ice, and while family planning may be in his future, it is not a current aspect of his life.
