About Alen Stajcic
Alen Stajcic is a football manager who formerly served as the head coach of the Australian women’s national soccer team, also known as the Matildas, from 2014 to 2019.
During his time with the Matildas, he led them to win the Tournament of Nations in 2017 and the Cup of Nations in 2019.

However, his contract with the Australian team was terminated by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) for unknown reasons, leading to controversy and debate within the Australian soccer community.

Alen now serves as head coach of the Philippines women’s national football team.
In 2023, Alen led the Philippines, to their first historic first World Cup win, after he was “unceremoniously sacked” by Australia in 2019.
Since 2008 when he began his coaching career, Alen has coached various teams including the New South Wales Sapphires, the Sydney FC (Women), Australia (Women), and the Central Coast Mariners.
