Born in Belgrade, Vučić’s story is intertwined with the experiences of his parents, Anđelko Vučić and Angelina Milovanov. Anđelko Vučić and Angelina Milovanov, both economics graduates, laid the foundation for their son’s upbringing.

His father, Anđelko, worked as an economist, while his mother, Angelina, pursued a career in journalism. This nurturing environment, rooted in academic achievement and professional pursuits, set the stage for Aleksandar Vučić’s own journey.

The familial ties extend further to Aleksandar’s younger brother, Andrej, creating a close-knit unit that has weathered the challenges and triumphs of life together.

The Vučić family history takes a poignant turn as it delves into the origins of Aleksandar’s paternal ancestors. Hailing from Čipuljić, near Bugojno, in Central Bosnia, they faced expulsion by the Croatian fascists (Ustaše) during World War II.

Forced to relocate, they settled near Belgrade, where Aleksandar’s father, Anđelko, was born. Tragically, according to Vučić, his paternal grandfather Anđelko and numerous close relatives fell victim to the Ustaše during this tumultuous period.

On the other side of the family, Angelina Milovanov’s roots trace back to Bečej in Vojvodina, adding a diverse regional dimension to Aleksandar Vučić’s heritage.

The president himself was raised in New Belgrade, attending the Branko Radičević Elementary School and later a gymnasium in Zemun. His educational journey culminated in graduating from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, showcasing his commitment to academic pursuits.

Vučić’s quest for knowledge took him beyond the borders of Serbia. He learned English in Brighton, England, and ventured into the world of commerce while working as a merchant in London. His international experience and exposure added layers to his perspective, enriching the fabric of his understanding.

Returning to Yugoslavia, Vučić took on the role of a journalist in Pale, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, further diversifying his professional portfolio.
