Alec Martinez is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays as a defenseman for the Vegas Golden Knights in the National Hockey League (NHL). Alec Martinez and his wife do not have kids at the time of this writing.

Martinez began his hockey career in the United States Hockey League (USHL) before moving on to play college hockey at Miami University in Ohio.
After completing his collegiate career, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round, 95th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Martinez made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings during the 2009-2010 season. He scored the series-clinching overtime goals in both the 2012 Western Conference Finals and the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals, earning him a place in Kings’ history.
In February 2020, Martinez was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights, where he has continued to make significant contributions to the team’s defensive corps. His playoff experience, championship pedigree, and well-rounded skill set have made him a valuable asset for the Golden Knights as they compete for a Stanley Cup.
