Criquette Head-Maarek
Christiane “Criquette” Head was born on November 6, 1948 at Marly-le-Roi, near Maisons-Laffitte, France.
She is a retired jockey and horse trainer.
Criquette studied in the United Kingdom at schools in Guildford in Surrey and Eastbourne in East Sussex.
As a teenager, she began riding horses and competing as a. Trilingual rider in French, English and Spanish. She had lived in France and Spain.
She worked under her father, Alec Head, assisting him in training horses and in 1978, she obtained her training license.
Criquette recorded the most prestigious French horse race victory during her time.

Freddy Head
Freddy was born on June 19, 1947, in Neuilly, France.
Freddy used to be a champion jockey in Thoroughbred horse racing before he retired.
He is currently a horse trainer.
Freddy won the 1976 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
He has won the French jockey’s championship six times and was inducted into the U.S. Hall of Fame filly Miesque during the 1987 and 1988 Breeders’ Cup Mile.
In 2008, he won the Breeders’ Cup races both as a trainer and as a jockey. He was the first to ever win it.
