Alec Baldwin Manslaughter Sentence: Will Alec Baldwin Go To jail?

Actor Alec Baldwin could face up to 18 months prison sentence and a $5,000 fine if he is convicted.

He will be charged with involuntary manslaughter over the shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on a film set when he fired a prop gum.

The shooting happened when Baldwin was rehearsing a scene for the Western film Rust at a ranch near Santa Fe, New Mexico in October 2021.

The Santa Fe’s District Attorney said, “Actor and producer, Alec Baldwin and armourer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. I have determined that there is sufficient evidence”.

“On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice,” she said.
