Alan Arkin Wife: Meet Suzanne Newlander Arkin

Suzanne Newlander Arkin was the wife of Alan Arkin an American actor, director, and screenwriter.

The couple married in 1996 and had been married for over 27 years till his death in June 2023. They lived in Carlsbad, California.

Aside from being Arkin’s wife, she is well-known for her work as a psychotherapist. Suzanne Newlander tried in acting in 2004, starring in the short Blood (Thinner Than Water), written and produced by her late spouse.

Alan Arkin passed away on June 29 2023. Arkin’s death was confirmed to PEOPLE in a statement by his three sons. “Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man,” they said.

“A loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed.” Despite his death being confirmed, an exact cause was not provided.
