Growing up in this culturally rich environment, Ainsley developed a passion for both food and entertainment. His culinary journey began with formal training at Westminster Kingsway College, and he later honed his skills at Verrey’s restaurant in London’s West End. Beyond the kitchen, Ainsley explored comedy and singing, forming the Calypso Twins with his school friend Paul Boross. Together, they released the hit record “World Party” in the early 1990s.

Ainsley’s foray into the culinary world reached new heights with his roles as the resident chef on “Good Morning with Anne and Nick” and as the main presenter of iconic shows like “Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook” and “Ready Steady Cook.” His charismatic presence and culinary expertise made him a household name.
