New York Jets star Sauce Gardner earned the name “Sauce”, after becoming a brand ambassador for the food brand, Buffalo Wild Wings, during the launch of its new signature sauce.

“You know, me, sauce and Buffalo Wild Wings, we all just have a special connection,” Gardner had said. “I think it’s just going to be natural.”

Who Is Sauce Gardner?

Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner is a football cornerback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL).

Born on August 31, 2000, in Detroit, United States, Gardner played football as a wide receiver and cornerback at Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan.

He made it to the Division 3 State Championship, where he caught four passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

He proceeded to play college football at Cincinnati University, participating in 11 games in his first season and recording 31 tackles and 3 interceptions.

Also in his freshman year, he was named to the All-American Conference first-team.

In May 2022, Gardner was drafted by the New York Jets, as 4th overall pick, in the 2022 NFL Draft, and agreed to a four-year rookie deal, worth $38.7 million.

Gardner’s current NFL player statistics shows a record of 44 tackles, 12 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions.
