Afroman is an American political activist, rapper, singer, songwriter, comedian and musician.

He is widely recognized for his songs “Because I Got High”, (2000) and “Crazy Rap”, (2001).

A native of California, Afroman performed in his church at a young age, playing both the drums and guitar.

He commenced his musical career in the eighth grade. Following being made to drop out of school by his teacher, due to sagging his pants, Afroman recorded his first homemade song “Hairy Carrie”.

After selling about 400 copies to teachers, students, and neighbors, Afroman went on to release his first album, My Fro-losophy, in 1998.

Since then Afroman has released 18 studio albums, 1 live album, 13 mixtapes, four extended plays (EPs) and 3 singles.

Seven police officers from the Adams County Sheriff’s office sued Afroman on March 14, 2023, after he took to social media and posted images and videos of his home in  Ohio which was raided by the officer’s.
