Adam Rich was a child actor who was raised in Granada Hills, Los Angeles, with his parents and younger brother. In 1986, at the age of 17, Rich dropped out of high school. In 1989, he almost died from a Valium overdose. In 1991, Rich was arrested and charged with attempting to burglarize a pharmacy.

Adam Rich was arrested for DUI in 2002 and has gone through drug rehabilitation multiple times. As of 2013, he has made occasional personal appearances and has been promoting script ideas for TV shows and films.

Adam Rich was featured in TV commercials for Betty Crocker Snackin’ Cake and Nabisco’s Wheatsworth crackers.
