Actress Aderounmu Adejumoke, renowned for her role in the popular series ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, has passed away at the age of 37.

The news was confirmed by Nigerian filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi via his Instagram account on Monday, April 8, 2024.
“A family member of former star of hit series Jenifa’s Diary Jumoke Aderonmu has tweeted that the budding Actress is dead. Details are still sketchy. May she find peace with her maker,” read Oloketuyi’s Instagram post.

Aderounmu began her acting career in the 2008 Tunde Kelani film ‘Arugba’, where she portrayed Princess Mobandele alongside renowned actors such as Bukky Wright, Bukola Awoyemi, and Segun Adefila.
The news of her passing has elicited expressions of sadness from members of the entertainment industry and her fans. Actress Akindele expressed her grief, saying, “Sad!!!! @jideawobona I still asked about her. Omg. May her soul rest in peace.”
