Actress Joselyn Dumas believes that artists should not be subjected to preventable deaths due to financial limitations.

This follows the death of a Nigerian actor which occurred on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, through a boat accident.
In Pope’s final video posted online before his passing, he was seen in the boat without wearing a life jacket.
He repeatedly shouted and urged the boat operator to slow down because he was unwilling to risk his life and leave his three children behind.

Tragically, the boat capsized, leading to the loss of five lives, including that of Junior Pope.
In response to this tragedy, Joselyn Dumas, a prominent figure in the movie industry, emphasized that it’s unacceptable to deprive actors and actresses of their basic welfare necessities.

According to her, this constitutes a violation of human rights that must not be tolerated in the future.
