Las Vegas Aces have parted ways with rookie Dyaisha Fair just one day after her WNBA debut with the team.

Fair was waived by the Aces on Sunday, May 26, 2024, after playing in just four games into the WNBA season.

Her debut came in Saturday’s 99-80 victory over the Indiana Fever, where she contributed two assists and attempted two shots in four minutes on the court.

The Aces drafted Fair in the second round of the WNBA Draft following her impressive college career at Syracuse.

She averaged 22.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game during her final season with the Orange, and her exceptional performance elevated her to the third spot on the NCAA’s all-time scoring list, with 3,403 career points.

Fair also had a brief appearance in a preseason game against Puerto Rico earlier in May 2024, playing approximately 10 minutes in the Aces’ dominating 52-point victory.

Despite Fair’s departure, the Aces have demonstrated strong performance this season, securing a 3-1 record with their sole loss against the Phoenix Mercury in a 10-point defeat.

The team aims to clinch their third consecutive WNBA title this season, a feat not achieved since the Houston Comets’ four consecutive wins from 1997 to 2000.
