When your e-filed return is rejected, it simply means that the IRS has returned your return to you for correction. A mistyped number that does not match the IRS database, for example, can result in a rejection.

Rejection can sometimes be a benefit in disguise. For example, if you received another W-2 after e-filing and your return was rejected, you can simply add the W-2 to your return before resubmitting it, rather than dealing with the headache of changing an accepted return.
Sign back into TurboTax and follow the instructions to remedy the issue to fix your rejection. If you need more help, search for your error code to find an article with detailed instructions.
