German-born fighter Abu Azaitar is of Moroccan ancestry and competes in K-1 and MMA. He hails from the Muay-Thai Kamsport region and has competed in multiple K-1 welterweight matches. When Abu successfully battled in the ring at the age of 17, it marked his first professional victory.

Azaitar is a professional mixed martial artist with a record of 14 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw. His nick moniker “Gladiator” is also well known. On September 17, 2011, Azaitar defeated Dimitri Dzhumburidze by TKO (fist punches) in the SFC 6 battle between Germany and Georgia. After that, he defeated Martin Zawada, Nils Wernersbach, and Andrei Embolaev in a three-match winning streak.
