According to accounts provided by Rainbow Radio’s Agya Dan on Nyankonton Mu Nsem, the incident stemmed from a previous altercation between Nana Opoku and another individual at a funeral.
This confrontation escalated when the victim’s friends joined in assaulting Opoku.
A week later, at another event, the altercation reignited when Opoku encountered the victim once again. This time, Yaw Amoako intervened to defuse the situation, recognizing the victim and hoping to separate the fighting parties.
Tragically, the intervention led to Amoako being fatally stabbed by Nana Opoku, allegedly with the assistance of another individual named Kwesi, who provided the weapon.
Following the incident, Amoako’s body was transferred to the Kyebi Government Hospital Mortuary, pending further investigations. Nana Opoku has been apprehended and is currently facing trial, while Kwesi and other suspects involved in the altercation remain at large.
