In a post shared on his verified Facebook page on May 14, A Plus expressed his sincerest apologies to Zein for any harm caused by his previous comments.

The apology comes after a legal dispute centered around defamatory statements made by A Plus that allegedly tarnished Zein’s reputation.

A Plus acknowledged that his comments were based on misinformation spread by an individual named Stanley, whom he referred to as Zein’s jealous friend.

He emphasized his commitment to fighting for the voiceless and marginalized groups but admitted to being misinformed on this particular matter.

“I deeply regret any distress or damage these false statements may have caused you and your reputation. It was never my intention to propagate falsehoods or tarnish your name in any way,” A Plus wrote in his apology.

Recognizing the seriousness of defamation and its impact on individuals and their livelihoods, A Plus took full responsibility for his actions and assured Zein that he would take appropriate measures to rectify the situation.

The settlement agreement reached between A Plus and Zein, adopted as a consent judgment by Justice Kwasi Adjenim-Boateng on January 29, 2024, outlined specific terms.

These included A Plus retracting the defamatory remarks, removing Zein’s image from the original platform of publication, and issuing a public apology through the same medium.

As part of the settlement, A Plus also agreed to pay 100,000 in costs to Zein, as stipulated in court documents. The resolution of the case marks an amicable conclusion facilitated by both parties, putting an end to the legal dispute.
