Who Is A.J McKee?

A. J. McKee is a mixed martial artist and former Bellator Featherweight Champion.

Born April 7, 1995, in California, A.J  was schooled at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, Notre Dame College and Cerritos College.

He began his amateur career since high school and later turned pro in 2015, under the tutelage of his father Antonio McKee.

A.J made his promotional debut in 2015, in a match against Marcos Bonilla at Bellator 136, and recorded a win.

He took part in the Bellator Featherweight World Championship in 2022, even though he couldn’t defend his title.

In the Lightweight division, A.J faced Spike Carlyle in 2022 at Bellator 286, and win by a unanimous decision.

Also in 2022, A.J signed a new six-fight, multi-year contract with Bellator.

In 2023, A J was was selected to participate in the $1 million Lightweight Grand Prix.

He is currently ranked “number 4 in the Bellator men’s pound-for-pound rankings, number 3 in the Bellator Featherweight Rankings, and  number 7 in the Bellator Lightweight Rankings.”
