The match between Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans had a rough occurrence when teammates of Wolves Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson got involved in an altercation.

Footage showed Anderson and Gobert having a heated argument before Gobert threw a punch in anger. They were separated by coaches and players before it got serious. Gobert was ruled out for the remainder of the game and was even sent home.

“We made the decision to send Rudy Gobert home after the incident in the second quarter. His behavior on the bench was unacceptable and will continue handling the situation internally,” Wolves President of Basketball Operations, Tim Connelly said in a statement after the incident.

This was a terrible time for the teammates to fight because winning the game would’ve put them in the 8th position in the Western Conference ahead of the Pelicans. During the second quarter of the match, the Wolves were losing 55-47 in the game.
