She got married to Antonio Barrette in 1924 in Joliette, Quebec. Marie-Estelle Guilbault and her husband was blessed with four children called Lise Notebaërt; Alain Barrette; Nicole Barrette, and Serge Barrette.

Marie-Estelle’s husband, Antonio Barrette belonged to the Union Nationale Political Party. He was elected as a Union Nationale candidate in the 1936 election.
