Shoaib Malik (Punjabi, Urdu: شعیب ملک; born 1 February 1982) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team and currently plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was the captain of the Pakistan national cricket team from 2007 to 2009.

On July 9, 2021, Shoaib Malik took to his Instagram handle and shared a touching picture in which we can see him standing in front of his late father, late Malik Saleem Hussain’s gravestone.
The doting son looked emotional while paying respect and love to his father, whom he is missing a lot. Along with this picture, Shoaib penned a teary-eyed note in the caption, in which he called his father a ‘shining star’.
His note can be read as “My father, my hero, my shining star, wish you were here with me. Miss you Abbu Jaan. Your son.”
