American football coach Michael Anthony Locksley is the University of Maryland’s current head coach. At the University of Alabama, Locksley had previously worked as the offensive coordinator.

He began his coaching career as an assistant for many college football teams before becoming the helm of the University of New Mexico in 2009. He left UNM in 2011 and returned to Maryland as the offensive coordinator.

After Randy Edsall was fired from his position as head coach at Maryland in 2015, Locksley was named the team’s temporary leader.
