Ike Turner Jr. was a musician, bandleader, songwriter, record producer, and talent scout from the United States. He was an early pioneer of 1950s rock and roll and is best known for his work as the leader of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue in the 1960s and 1970s with his then-wife Tina Turner.

Turner died on December 12 at his home in San Marcos, California. Ann Thomas, his ex-wife, discovered him dead. Rasool was also present and performed CPR. Turner was declared dead at 11:38 a.m.
On December 21, 2007, his funeral was held at the City of Refuge Church in Gardena, California. Turner was cremated following the funeral.
