Lisa Valastro was born on March 9, 1979, and is a first-generation Italian-American. Gloria Belgiovine, her mother, is a Southern Italian immigrant from Molfetta. Lisa was the family’s oldest child.

Lisa Valastro is the wife of Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro and the co-host of the What’s Up Cuz? podcast. Lisa is prominently featured on Cake Boss, which has been on the air since 2009.

Her husband owns Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, and is the face of Buddy V’s Ristorante. The couple was married in 2001 and have four kids – Sofia, Bartolo Buddy Jr, Marco, and Carlo.

 

Who died on Cake Boss?

Buddy’s mother, Mary Valastro Pinto was a regular on the show until her retirement in 2010, and she still appeared on it on occasion. In 2012, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with ALS. On July 23, 2012, the family’s struggle and reaction were depicted in the Season 5 episode “A Bittersweet Homecoming.” After a five-year fight with ALS, Mary passed away on June 22, 2017.
