  • Kaw Lake, near Kaw City, where Bill and Jo encounter water spouts and flying cows.
  • Wakita, where Aunt Meg lives and where the final tornado hits. The town was partially demolished for the movie, with the permission of the local authorities.
  • Guthrie, where the drive-in movie theater scene takes place.
  • Stillwater, near Oklahoma State University, where Melissa’s hotel room is located.
