Officials reported that three Americans died of unknown causes at a Sandals resort on the Bahamas’ Great Exuma island on Friday, May 6.

According to Bahamian Acting Prime Minister Chester Cooper, two men and a woman died at the resort, and a fourth American woman was airlifted to a hospital in Nassau, the Bahamas’ capital. Cooper was “advised that foul play is not suspected,” even though police are investigating.
The deceased were identified as Robbie Phillips, 65, Michael Phillips, 68, both from Tennessee, and Vincent Chiarella, 64, from Florida.
The bodies showed no signs of trauma, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force in a statement to CNN. According to preliminary reports, the bodies were discovered unresponsive in two different locations.

According to the report, the couple had complained of illness the night before.
“Officers discovered a Caucasian male slumped against a bathroom wall, unresponsive,” according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force. “Also unresponsive was the woman. Both people appeared to be convulsing.
Police said the cause of death would be determined by a coroner’s investigation
