Switzerland’s Nemo Mettler, professionally known as Nemo, has made waves in the music industry, clinching the title of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 champion with their hit song “The Code.”

Born on August 3, 1999, Nemo is a multi-talented artist, proficient in rap, singing, and playing various musical instruments including the violin, piano, and drums.

Their EP “Clownfisch” released in 2015 made its mark, reaching number 95 in the Swiss charts. A single titled “Du,” released in 2017, further solidified Nemo’s presence in the music scene, soaring to number 4 in Switzerland.

Eurovision Journey

Selected as Switzerland’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Nemo took the stage with their captivating song “The Code.” Their performance in the second semi-final on May 9 captured the hearts of audiences and judges alike, propelling them to the final.

In November 2023, Nemo bravely came out as non-binary in an article for the SonntagsZeitung, expressing their journey to self-discovery and identity. They expressed a preference for being addressed by their given name in German and the use of they/them pronouns in English.
