102-Year-Old Woman To ‘Save’ Nigeria As She Announces Plans To Run For Presidency In 2023 Elections

A Nigerian centenarian, Mrs. Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, has startled the entire citizens of Nigeria after she announced her intentions to contest for Presidency at the upcoming 2023 general elections.

Mrs. Nonye made this known during a courtesy visit to the management team of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA.

She said she was ready to run for the number one position because it seems the younger citizens of the country are not ready.

“If Nigerians are shying away from political participation, then I am ready to contest”, she said.

“If you have a male or female child, try to train them to surpass your own achievements”, she added.

The elderly woman further disclosed that she has already prepared a manifesto for herself and she has got a vision for the nation of Nigeria “If the good ones don’t come out to contest”.

Mrs. Nonye, also known as the ‘living legend’ or “Mama Africa’, is 102-years-old and hails from Aguata, Anambra state. She is the founder of the ‘Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria’ group.

Mrs. Nonye is a recipient of multiple awards for her contributions to humanity and nation-building, including the African Peace Award, 2021.
