The purpose of this gathering is to discuss the arrangements for Yvonne Nelson’s planned Dumsor Must Stop demonstration slated for May 25.

DCOP Arhin Kwasi Annor penned a letter in response to Yvonne Nelson’s initial notification to the Inspector General of Police on May 13.

Previously, the actress had informed the Ghana Police Service about her intent to stage a protest concerning the erratic power cuts experienced on May 9.

Yvonne Nelson, along with her colleagues, publicized their intention for the vigil through a joint letter.

They emphasized their desire to express frustrations over the inconsistent electricity supply and to showcase the adverse effects of power outages to the president.

This isn’t the first time Yvonne Nelson has taken a stand against ‘dumsor.’ Back in 2015, she spearheaded a massive demonstration alongside other celebrities during the John Mahama administration.

Now, she is rallying for public support once again, urging individuals to join the imminent protest against the persistent power challenges.
