Remembering the protest she led in 2015 during the John Mahama administration, Yvonne Nelson is calling for a similar show of unity to tackle the current power crisis, known as ‘dumsor.’

In an open letter to Ghanaians, she urged everyone to join forces, including organizations and legal experts, to demand action from the government.

She emphasized the need to prioritize the people’s needs and make their voices heard.

Yvonne Nelson acknowledged the support she received in 2015 from figures like Kofi Bentil of IMANI Ghana, Prince David Osei, Sarkodie, and D Black.

Despite some of them now having political affiliations, she stressed the importance of setting aside differences for the greater good of the nation.

She also highlighted her attempts to involve key individuals from IMANI Ghana in the upcoming protest, including Kofi Bentil and Franklyn Cudjoe, but has yet to receive a response.

With her call to action, Yvonne Nelson hopes to reignite the spirit of unity and activism seen in 2015 to address the pressing issue of power cuts affecting the lives of Ghanaians.
