Bello was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday for his arraignment on charges related to money laundering. However, he failed to show up, prompting the EFCC to launch a search for him.
In an official Facebook post, the anti-graft agency called on Nigerians to assist in locating Bello. The post emphasized that Bello is wanted for offenses involving economic and financial crimes, amounting to a staggering N80.2 billion.

The message was clear: anyone with information about Bello’s whereabouts should promptly report it to the EFCC or the nearest police station.
In a dramatic turn of events, security operatives from the EFCC, Department of State Services, and the police surrounded Bello’s residence in Abuja on Wednesday.
Despite their efforts, Bello managed to evade capture, thanks to the intervention of the incumbent governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo.
The unfolding saga raises questions about accountability, justice, and the lengths some will go to avoid facing the consequences of their actions.
