Suraj Tiamiyu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Intervention, added that the renovations, scheduled mainly for rural schools, should finish within six weeks.
The improvements include building toilets and drilling boreholes to create a better learning environment for students. Tiamiyu promised thorough monitoring to ensure the renovations are done properly and on time.
This support comes from the World Bank’s Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) – Additional Funding (AF) initiative, aimed at increasing access to education for out-of-school children and enhancing literacy in beneficiary states.
Oyo State, along with Adamawa and Katsina, received this grant as part of efforts to improve basic education accountability across Nigeria.
