Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, a renowned Nigerian Afrobeats artist known as Wizkid, has announced that his upcoming sixth studio album will be a tribute to his late mother, Jane Morayo Balogun.

The singer, famous for his hit ‘Ojuelegba,’ shared this news in a video message on his social media platforms last Saturday. He disclosed that the forthcoming album, named ‘Morayo’ to honor his mother, is set to be released in the near future.

As he disembarked from a private jet, Wizkid shared that his album ‘Morayo,’ a dedication to his beloved mother, will be available soon and urged his fans to stay alert.

It’s important to remember that Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, in London. Her demise was a sorrowful time for the singer and his family, as she was later laid to rest in Nigeria.
Wizkid conveyed the deep pain he felt due to the loss of his mother, describing it as profound.
