Will There Be Top Boy Season 4? Release Date, Trailer, Cast

Fans are anticipating the continuation of one of UK’s most successful black-filled series, ‘Top Boy.’

Season three of the show was released by Netflix on 13th September 2019. The first two seasons were released by Channel 4 but the show got canceled after season two’s release in 2013. The show made its strong comeback in 2019, becoming Netflix’s most-streamed show in the UK.

Netflix decided to prolong the number of episodes to ten as compared to the previously 4-packed episodes in each season for the first two seasons. However, some people may refer to the fourth season as ‘Season 2’ due to the change in the airing distribution channel and the introduction of new characters. According to sources, this fourth season is heavily pushed by Canadian Rapper, Drake.

‘Top Boy’ Season 4 Release Date 

Sources announced the release of the show again after the long break in 2013 that, the show will have two additional seasons to make it four seasons. However, fans only saw season 3 on Netflix, therefore, there is strong anticipation for the fourth season to be released soon.

In the early part of 2020, it was announced by Drake that there will be new episodes of the show that year, but unfortunately, the pandemic put productions on hold. In December 2020, two main characters in the series, Ashley Walters and Kano updated the public on the ongoing shooting of the series.

The actual date for its official release hasn’t been announced yet but we’re hoping to hear something very soon as production is rumored to be almost over at the moment.

‘Top Boy’ Season 4 Trailer 

Trailer for the season 3 of the series dropped about a month before the official release, so, fans are hoping that it’ll be the same way for Season 4. So far, no official trailer has been released for season 4 yet. However, there have been unofficial trailers giving hints on what to expect in the next season.

’Top Boy’ Season 4 Casts

Who will be in the next season?  According to sources, Ashley Walters (Dushane), Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson (Sully), and Michael Ward (Jammie) will still be present in the fourth season as the main characters. Also, Jasmine Jobson (Jaq), Ashley Thomas (Jermaine), Simbi ‘Little Simz’ Ajikawo (Shelley), Kadeem Ramsay (Kit), Lisa Dwan (Lizzie), and Saffron Hocking (Lauryn) will all be present. However, it is quite unclear if David ‘Dave’ Omoregie (Modie) will be part of season 4 since he was shot by the police during a raid in season 3.
