William Skelton is a lock for La Rochelle in the French Top 14 league. Skelton was born in New Zealand, relocated to Australia as a child, and obtained residency in Australia.

Coach Michael Cheika added Skelton to the Waratahs’ Extended Player Squad in 2013. He debuted for the Waratahs against the British and Irish Lions in June of that year, after making his Super Rugby debut against the Stormers.
