In a 2021 interview, Wendle explained the reason he doesn’t use gloves by saying “Everyone always asks me why not? To me, it’s just been why? Why would I wear them?” “I grew up not using them. Never took to them. I’ve tried them, but I just prefer the feel of the skin on the bat.”
The American baseball player Wendle plays for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball.
Wendle played college baseball at the West Chester University of Pennsylvania where he compiled a .366 career batting average with 23 home runs and 185 runs batted in (RBIs) in his four-year college career.
