American BMX veteran Thomas Joseph Lavin has been hosting MTV’s reality competition series The Challenge since the show’s twelfth season.

Nevada’s Las Vegas is where Thomas Joseph Lavin was born. Lavin started riding bikes when he was two years old. After winning his first professional competition at the age of 19, he eventually turned pro.
The X Games and the Dew Tour are among the competitions he has competed in. He won three gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals at the X Games.

He has won the DK Dirt Circuit, the Gravity Games, the European championship, and the CFB championship.
Why Did TJ Lavin Stop Hosting The Challenge?
TJ Lavin, the world-class BMX rider and host of MTV’s The Challenge, was hospitalized last Thursday after crashing during a Dew Tour event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
So severe were the injuries that Lavin was put into a medically induced coma.
