With a double-bogey 6 on his first hole and a front-nine score of 4-over 40, Na had finished the first nine holes at Augusta National and was having a difficult time. Na is making his 12th start at the Masters, where he has a great track record, placing in the top 15 in each of his last three visits.
Following his departure from the PGA Tour in June 2022 to join the LIV Golf League, sponsored by Saudi Arabia, Na has decided to withdraw from the Masters.

Na placed 22nd in the LIV Orlando competition last week, tied for 22nd. There are now only 17 LIV Golf competitors left in the Masters after Na withdrew.

Mike Weir, the captain of the 2024 Presidents Cup International Team, will play the opening round of the Masters by himself instead of the intended pairing of Mike Na and Weir at 8 a.m. ET.
