Ramsey established a successful Hollywood career in character roles in the 1970s, appearing on television shows such as Little House on the Prairie, Wonder Woman, Three’s Company, and Ironside.
Ramsey’s slurred speech, which became a signature of her later performances, was due in part to having a portion of her tongue and jaw removed after esophageal cancer surgery in 1984.
She passed away on August 11 at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills.
