Peter Morgan, famously known as “Peetah,” was the frontman of the popular Jamaican reggae group Morgan Heritage. Alongside his four siblings, he formed the band back in 1994.

Born as Peter Anthony Morgan, Peetah inherited his passion for music from his father, the iconic reggae figure Denroy Morgan. Morgan Heritage upheld their family’s musical tradition by infusing classic reggae melodies with modern sounds.
Their unwavering commitment to authentic reggae music earned them global acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Their crowning achievement came in 2016 when they clinched the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album with their record “Strictly Roots.”

Peetah, renowned for his magnetic stage presence and heartfelt vocals, played a central role in the band’s triumphs. He also explored solo endeavors, releasing music under his own name.
Sadly, on February 23, 2023, Peetah passed away at the age of 46. However, his influence lives on, serving as a beacon of inspiration for reggae enthusiasts worldwide and within the Morgan Heritage clan, who persist in upholding their musical legacy.
