Who is Mary Richardson’s husband Stan Leven?

Stan Leven was married to long-time Boston broadcaster Mary Richardson, who died at 76 on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Leven is a former Chronicle Senior Producer at WCVB-TV, where his deceased spouse used to work. He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Their child Matt Leven is the Post Production Supervisor at Freelance and is a previous Post Production Coordinator at Feed the Beast.

Leven, who is likely to be in his late 70s or early 80s, was widowed after Richardson succumbed to a 7-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Leven, his children with Richardson, and grandchildren survived the deceased broadcaster.

Leven took to social media to announce the cause of death, and he commented on his spouse’s struggle with Alzheimer’s:

“Mary never let her Alzheimer’s define her or slow her down. She was as real as real could be, a force in motion, and always gracious, stopping to talk to her fans. Our family came to accept that we share Mary, you can’t contain Mary.”

Leven is known via Facebook posts to have pledged gifts to support the fight against Alzheimer’s.
